About us

Humaniora Care and Welfare is the municipal provider in Solna City. We are responsible, among other things, for group homes according to the LSS Act. The target group for the operation is adult persons within LSS personal group 1. We are now looking for two full-time support assistants for the Haglundsgatan group home and the Södra Långgatan group home.

What does the job entail?

As a support assistant, your main task is to work with the residents of the home, individually with each one, so that every individual feels involved and independent in their life. You do this by working methodically based on low-arousal approach and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC).

Each individual has an implementation plan that describes how the individual needs to receive support from you as the one providing the support. As a support assistant, tasks include, among other things, cleaning and laundry, delegated health care tasks such as medication management, cooking, personal care, support in meal situations, accompaniment during travel, and leisure activities such as swimming, exercise, and music. The tasks also include administrative duties such as writing journal entries in the individual's journal and booking transport services.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who have:

• completed education from the Child and Leisure program or a completed education as a nursing assistant
• experience of working in homes according to the LSS Act
• good communication skills and can express yourself well both verbally and in writing in Swedish
• good computer skills and are quick to learn new programs.

It is an advantage if you have:

• experience of method work such as low-arousal approach, alternative and augmentative communication, and other clarifying pedagogy
• other education within care and welfare or social work.

As a person, you are stable, independent, and enjoy relationship-building work. You carry out your work with great care and are perceived as a safe person. In the role of a support assistant, it is important to be empathetic, flexible, and have good communication skills. You need to be able to take initiative, be solution-oriented, work well in a group, and enjoy collaborating with your colleagues.

We are looking for three people on a full-time basis. The positions are permanent with start date according to agreement, and a probationary period may apply. The work is scheduled during the day, evening, and night (sleeping duty) all days of the week, which means that weekend duty is included in the position.
